EXPRESS ENTRY

Citizenship & immigration Canada launched a new program in January 2015 called express entry.

Express entry is an electronic and online system that manages application for permanent residence for certain economic programs.EE is online system used by citizenship & immigration Canada to manage application from skilled workers.

There are three immigration programs managed through Express Entry: -

Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration program that allows individuals who have worked in Canada for at least one year in last three years to immigrate permanently. CEC is a part of Canada's Express Entry immigration system.

Federal Skilled Worker Program

This program is for skilled workers with foreign work experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently. They must meet criteria for education and other factors.

Federal Skilled Trade Program

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade. They must have valid job offer or certificate of qualification.

So Express Entry is very good program of Canadian permanent residence for foreign and inland skilled workers. Key elements for all program are same as: -

• Intended occupation
• Work Experience
• Education and skill
• Adaptability in Canada.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Canada’s PNP offers pathway to Canadian permanent residence for individual who are interested in immigrating to a specific Canadian Province or Territory. Each Canadian province and territory operate its own PNP designed to meet its specific economic and demographic needs. The PNP has grown in importance today the second most popular immigration program in Canada after express entry

The advantage of PNP is that it offers the pathway to permanent residence for people who are not able to meet the eligibility criteria for Express entry. PNP can add 600 CRS points in Express entry file.

There are two ways to apply PNP:

Express Entry Method: - You will have to create Express Entry profile. During creating file, you will be asked to indicate the province & territory in which you are interested. Then you will either have to apply directly for nomination depending on the province or you will be selected and notified by the province.

Non-Express entry method: - You will apply directly to province or territory where you want to work. You will need to send NOI notice of interest to province and will receive ITA for permanent residence if chosen.
